ABOUT CHRIS KELLY
I am a Certified Educational Facilities Manager, currently working as the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for the West Milford Township Board of Education. Previous employment includes 2 years as Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds for the Rockaway Borough Board of Education and 12 years working for the Sparta Board of Education as a Custodial Department Supervisor. During this time, I attended classes offered by the New Jersey School Buildings and Grounds Association through Rutgers University. Following completion of these classes, I attained my Certified Educational Facilities Manager designation from the NJ Department of Education. Prior to working in the above school systems, I was employed by Sussex County for over 20 years, leaving the position of Building Superintendent at the Homestead Skilled Nursing Facility in 2004. At the time of my resignation, I managed the Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry departments supervising a staff of 18 employees. In addition to my professional experience, I have been involved in Public Service for many years. I won a seat on the Hamburg Borough Council in 2004 and was re-elected twice. I finished my third term in 2012 and did not run for re-election. Finally, I have also served as a member on the following Sussex County boards: Member - Sussex County Solid Waste Advisory Council (20••••12) Member - Sussex County Water Quality Policy Advisory Committee (20••••12) Specialties: Certified by New Jersey Department of Education - Educational Facilities Manager Completed ICS 402-Incident Command System for Executives/Senior Officials N.J.S.P.
