Chief Executive responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the National Community Stabilization Trust (NCST)- a national non-profit that supports families and communities by restoring distressed single-family homes and increasing sustainable, affordable homeownership. NCST\'s primary focus is facilitating sales of distressed homes to community-based partners, providing technical assistance [and capital] for single-family rehab, and advocating for policy change that advances homeownership and promotes resilient neighborhoods. To date, NCST has returned over distressed properties to productive use in communities across the country. NCST leads the Homeownership Alliance which strives to close the racial wealth gap by increasing access to homeownership. NCST also leads the Developing Affordable Starter Homes (DASH) Initiative and the Middle Neighborhoods Initiative, which supports stable but vulnerable neighborhoods through research, policy analysis, communications, and advocacy.

As President of NCST (the National Community Stabilization Trust), I lead a national non-profit that works to increase homeownership, stabilize neighborhoods, and advance racial equity by expanding the supply of affordable, single-family homes. With over 20 years of experience in law, real estate development, higher education, and executive leadership, I have developed and implemented strategic plans, scaled organizations, raised funds, built partnerships, and advocated for policy change that advances housing, community development, and promotes resilient neighborhoods.My passion for cities, housing, and community development stems from my diverse educational and professional experiences in architecture, management consulting, public finance, entrepreneurship, politics, state and local government law, real estate development, social justice advocacy, and racial equity analysis. I have practiced, taught, researched, and written extensively on these topics, and have received multiple honors and awards for my work. I am proud of our work at NCST, which advances affordable homeownership through community development and lending, policy advocacy, and by facilitating transactions and providing technical assistance.
