As a member of the El Planeta Boston team, I helped rebuild the Arts and Entertainment section, devising and curating the content, and hiring reporters (both staff and freelance) to contribute to it. I was also coordinated with other El Planeta desks and departments to devise and produce content for the pages and the website.Responsibilities included establishing an ethos for the coverage, hiring and managing a stable of freelance contributors, conceiving coverage, editing all copy, writing headlines/decks/captions, and managing the art and culture coverage on elplaneta.com and social media- Responsible for writing content relevant to current breaking news in music, film, and entertainment in the Boston area- Provided insight on current events related to sports, music, fashion, current events, and popular culture- Conducted interviews and produced weekly video content- Updates all content on the website, as well as social media pages for the brand.
