About Chris Fox
As a results-proven operations leader, I have demonstrated the ability to build and lead exceptionally strong teams, shape high-performance cultures driven by operational excellence, and construct actionable strategic plans that fuel unprecedented outcomes. Possess a broad operations background spanning 25+ years in engineering, manufacturing, project and program management, and quality assurance for diverse organizations. Delivered high-level leadership while working and partnering with a wide range of entities from startups to Fortune 100 defense contractors. Fueled unprecedented performance results including profitability growth, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, product reliability, and on-time delivery. Most recently, I was recruited to STAR Dynamics first as their QA Manager, where I played a lead role in developing their entire Quality System including all documentation, compliance standards, and supplier audits. Working on major contracts with Fortune 100 defense contractor partners, it was my role to oversee project activities, develop quality plans, and control documentation. Promoted to VP of Operations in 2015, I have since been managing P&L for the business and have been working diligently to optimize our cost ratios and operational effectiveness. By initiating a partnership with Battelle to engage in contract manufacturing activities, I was successful in leading the company to profitability for the first time in company history.
Experience
Vice President, Operations
Mar 2015 — Present · Columbus, OH, US
Charged with managing P&L and overseeing site reestablishment, constructing the strategic plan and operational vision to optimize cash flow to properly fund cost-effective development projects. Diligently reshaped the organizational culture while providing targeted leadership across Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Information Technology, and Facilities. Cultivated relationships with internal and external stakeholders, setting the tone for the organization moving forward toward revenue and profitability. Achieved profitability for the first time in company history, in large part due to the initiation of a highly competitive contract manufacturing service agreement, aggressive oversight of all cash flow activities, and engaging in significant vendor price (re)negotiations. Negotiated a complex manufacturing service agreement with Battelle—securing a 40% reduction in annual operational costs—and oversaw the entire operational transition to a contract manufacturing setup. Directed program management initiatives, allocating limited resources to optimize ratios and fuel cost targets.
