I have over 25 years experience in digital application design, development and innovation, and now work to develop the digital capabilities of places, as the founder of Unfolding Ltd, a digital capacity building agency; co-founder and director of Sheffield Digital, the city’s digital industries association; and academic director of the Smart Cities Programme at Zigurat Institute of Technology in Barcelona.I am also a non-executive director of the Sheffield University Technical Colleges Multi-Academy Trust, which runs three schools for 13-19 year olds that provide technical specialisms alongside traditional academic curricula; a non-executive director of The Developer Academy, which provides \"bootcamp\" training in software, games development and data science to learners from under-privileged backgrounds; and am an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Sheffield Business School.
