Chris is a product and technology executive, with over two decades of experience across diverse enterprise and startup environments. He has deep domain expertise in financial services, where he has specialized in product management, payments, operations, marketing, and technology transformation.Recently, Chris spearheaded building and leading the digital product, design, and research functions at Valley National Bank, driving innovation and transformation within the $62 billion, 97-year-old institution. Notable accomplishments include employing product management and design thinking methodologies to revamp the deposit account opening process, as well as relaunching the direct digital bank, and ultimately achieving substantial deposit growth while simultaneously improving cost-efficiencies.Previously, as Global Head of Digital Product at Roche/Genentech, Chris established and led a world-wide innovation and transformation team that delivered industry-first regulatory-grade, clinically validated digital products in oncology, ophthalmology, and neurology.Chris played a pivotal role at Varo Money, a pioneering fintech that obtained an OCC charter, the first US fintech to become a bank. As the founding product leader, he played a crucial role in scaling the organization from inception to acquiring over one million customers.Throughout his professional career, Chris has held prominent positions at M&T Bank, IBM, I2C, and Monitise (now Fiserv). Furthermore, he has provided advisory services to numerous early-stage startups, including MANTL, Token.io, Propel, and CashRepublic.Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and most recently completed studies at the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado (GSBC).
