ABOUT CHRISTOPHER CONYBEARE

I am a final-year undergraduate student at the University of Oxford studying Classical Archaeology and Ancient History with a passion for a career in law. I have undertaken legal internships with a number of UK and US law firms, where I was involved with both contentious and non-contentious roles, as well as gaining experience in business development at a leading Hungarian law firm. This has provided me with valuable insights into, and research opportunities in, corporate and private equity transactions, international arbitration and dispute resolution, as well as employment law, whilst learning how to proactively contribute to successful business and marketing opportunities. These experiences were incredibly rewarding and have confirmed my desire to qualify as a lawyer. I will be starting as a trainee solicitor with Clifford Chance in February 2028. Growing up in Hungary and Slovakia, as well as UK, I have a passion for travel, allowing me to meet new people and embrace different cultures, including staying with a local family in Korea, working at Glastonbury Festival, and participating in an archaeological dig in Tuscany alongside Italian university students. I am an active member of the Varsity Ski Trip committee allowing me to enjoy my passion for winter sports. I am training for a HYROX competition, have rowed for my college, and have recently taken up bouldering as a new challenge.
