About Chris Camp

In May, I will be celebrating my 35th anniversary at Lose Design. It has been a fun ride from the drafting board to the board room.As President and CEO, it is my pleasure to lead a fine group of professionals. Our staff understands the core values of our company and works to translate these values to each of our projects. Our office environment promotes a truly collaborative design process that leads to creative solutions no matter how complex or simple the project. I have stressed the need for a multi-disciplinary team that can develop a project from the ground up. Much like my time at the University of Arkansas, where as students we worked as multi-disciplinary team on school projects, leading teams of our architects, civil engineers, and landscape architects allows me to have the greatest impacts on the overall design solutions. The skills I have developed leading our in-house teams has allowed me to direct an even larger team on complex projects that require the skills of many different design and resource-related professionals. Our current Hansen Regional Park in Leesburg, Virginia has over 20 professional team members involved in the project. As I look back over my career, I have many fond memories, and I am so glad I made the commitment to stay with the firm for all these years. The most satisfying thing about my job is I still love coming to work every day. I enjoy the challenges of each job and, more importantly, the new relationships I develop in communities across the country. I enjoy being an advocate for investments in public recreation facilities and promoting access to open space in communities across the country. Lastly, I take great pleasure in helping to shape young professionals and following their growth and development.AwardsService Award from the Tennessee Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1995 after serving on the Board of Directors and President of the society.
