At M2M Cloud we provide IoT solutions which receive data directly from a wide variety of devices types including temperature sensors and telematics devices in order to provide data insight and therefore derive tangible business benefits for our clients. Lighthouse our highly scalable Azure deployed IoT solution offers complete connected Device Management features including remote telemetry, behaviour configuration, predictive maintenance and firmware management. At the heart of the solution a configurable rule engine allows the creation of data driven events, user notifications and reports, and data to be served to our suite of web and mobile applications. We work with customers such as Bike Trac who have been able to realise 94% motorcycle recovery rates over many years using the software designed, built and maintained by M2MCloud. In addition to my responsibilities managing software deliveries I am also involved in using predictive analytics facilities with aggregated device accelerometer data, geospatial data as well as data from other sources to make informed predictions. I use existing, well understood Data Feature as well as performing Data Feature Engineering in order to extract new insight and further improve the existing prediction models. Using Microsoft Cortana Analytics Intelligence Suite in concert with the predictive modelling features of R to gain deep insight into predictions such as First Notification of Loss (Crash vs Non-Crash). I have also been involved in geospatial analysis projects in order to determine patterns from aggregated data to allow performance improvement in the prediction facilities.
