We aim to challenge, improve and evolve the way that legal services are delivered to businesses and individuals, by building an environment for lawyers to both deliver great service and achieve personal happiness. We do not have the overwhelming baggage of some law firms – we are not weighed down by time sheets or targets of any kind internally, as each lawyer’s relationship with gunnercooke is that of an independent partner working within the structure that our firm provides. ABOUT CHRIS BUSHNELL
I specialise in employment law and advise employers and employees on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. This includes unfair dismissal, breach of contract, discrimination, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants and transfer of undertakings (TUPE). My focus is on understanding what your aims are and what is most important to you, and then working with you to develop a strategy that is suited to your aims and the situation. My work covers the spectrum of the employment relationship from start to finish. For example, I advise on contracts and policies, grievances and other workplace problems and termination and post-termination issues. I regularly negotiate compensation packages and settlement agreements on termination of employment.I also act for clients bringing and defending employment related claims in the Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and High Court.
