I’ve probably been at this long enough now to be able to say I’m a serial pioneer of innovative models and business ideas in the legal sector. Author of \'The Agile Law Firm\', my 3rd book, published May 2021. My work as a mentor, consultant, retained advisor, speaker and author is focused on how legal and professional organisations achieve fundamental and sustainable change in 4 areas- Strategy Execution: equip organisations to clearly define and deliver their business strategy for the 2020s - Growth Strategy - Legal Operations: future-proofed operating environments - Business Services Excellence: ensure organisations get the highly integrated and efficient business services they need - Performance Improvement – analyse & identify solutions for improving firm, practice or office financial performance, process & reporting My advice draws on a career working in and with multiple leading businesses at the highest level: • I have worked for all four of the Big 4 professional firms: PWC, EY, as KPMG’s UK Ambassador for Professional Practices & as legal operations architect in Deloitte Legal • In my 12 years on the Board at leading European law firm Osborne Clarke I was Finance Director, COO and Chief Executive through a period of incredible growth (turnover increased 8-fold) & created a unique & innovative law firm model • I was hired by managed service & Alternative Legal Service (ALSP) pioneers Integreon as COO for US and Europe, helping them achieve market leadership - some of my global leadership colleagues went on to found trail-blazing law company Elevate • I returned to consulting with global legal strategy firm Edge International in 2011 and have also been a founder of Kingsmead Square, the Intuity Alliance and Bristol+BathLegalTech • I advised a series of the largest and most high profile businesses to form early Alternative Business Structures (ABS), including KPMG, DAS, LegalZoom and Jordans. • I curate, present at and chair 15-20 legal events each year and am constantly delighted by the amazing feedback from delegates - and by how much speakers and panellists enjoy the experience too! I also deliver Strategy Retreats and Partner Conferences and I regularly curate conference programmes and author Best Practice Guides on legal business topics
