The firm is targeting the purchase of notes and hotel assets in the $5-$15 million range. Investments will be made via commingled funds or with strategic joint venture partners. TRELI was formed in 2020 as the logical next step in the progression of the T.R. ENGEL Group a family-owned, lodging-focused asset manager advising institutional hotel owners for decades on assets from Boston to Germany to Dubai. TRELI is managed by Matthew Engel, Dan Blum, and Tony Harwood, with offices in Boston and Houston.
