About Christopher Mills

I am a Senior Incident Manager at Microsoft, where I lead the global incident response engagements for the company\'s most critical customers. I have over 20 years of experience in information security across the public and private sectors.As part of the Microsoft Detection and Response Team (DART), I perform in-depth analysis of forensic artifacts, set the direction and goals of threat hunting and investigation, and mentor and support newer analysts on the team. I also write and present executive summaries and detailed technical reports, tailoring them to the audience\'s level of technical expertise. I think outside of the box to help customers with their security needs in times of crisis, using tools such as Azure. My mission is to protect and empower people and organizations from cyber threats and risks.

   DEF CON is the largest and longest continuous running hacker convention in the world. Each night after the speaker sessions end, we host a party that is open to all of the attendees. My team also coordinates the convention decor to suit the year\'s theme.Coordinates all aspects of entertainment production including talent sourcing, audio, lighting, and decor.Manages a team of 6 people that plan and produce the eventsResearches and selects musical performersNegotiates with artists\' managementOversees the community DJ application and selection processEnsures fulfillment of artists\' technical and hospitality ridersManages the Arts & Entertainment budgetCoordinates with other DEF CON staff on matters such as venue issues, hotel room booking, and local vendor activities
