Conversant with the operational requirements of site based engineering disciplines and all manner of steelwork fabrication, design detail and installation of both structural and architectural steelwork, and ensuring the suitability of working practices for all site personnel in order to comply with the statutory provisions as required by the Health & safety at work etc. act 1974 and associated regulations within the Fabrication Shop and our sites. With experience of commercial and safety risk analysis along with time served experience of value engineering schemes in partnership with Clients both in the construction and manufacturing sectors, this value engineering process is normally approached in accordance with Client requests and resides closely to good communications with the Local Supply Chain in Manchester and Salford with local labour outsourced wherever possible to promote a team environment within our company and to support our sustainability initiatives. MAP Engineering Limited have a multi-facetted conventional machining facility, with an extensive range of machine tools we offer a rapid turn around for all aspects of machining including Turning, Milling, Grinding and Boring. Employing skilled machinists enables us to produce one off components utilising conventional machines, thus expatiating delivery and reducing tooling costs. Our machining facility allows great production flexibility enabling us to offer a truly expedient turnaround in a breakdown situation and can often offer substantial time and cost savings. We undertake prototype, pre-production and batch manufacture at competitive cost and are happy working to short lead times. Most recently involved expansion of the company within interiors fit out at both CHEP and Manchester Arena although core Clients include Lend Lease, ISG, Manchester United FC and Sir Robert McAlpine PLC.
