After leaving school, I started an HNC at Motherwell college. Following college I started an apprenticeship as a precision engineer for Rolls Royce. I then had brief spell in the Merchant Navy. I joined BT as an apprentice engineer within Retail. I then progressed into Global Services, Wholesale, Operate then into Openreach as a PM2, then as a SOM in NO & TV.
