Reporting directly to the Group HR Director, I have responsibility for the People training function within the business. With over 2350 employees, in over 190 branches, I support all learning across a wide range of departments. This includes our Sales and Lettings functions, Financial services, Surveying, Planning and Design and Central Services. Managing a small team of trainers, we are responsible for the whole learning cycle.Key accountabilities and achievements:• As a result of the Covid 19- pandemic, I adapted very quickly to the world of remote delivery and virtual learning. Currently delivering training across a variety of subjects, four days a week using a remote location, with increased class sizes and offering national coverage. • Successful buy-in from senior stake holders and qualified advisers; negotiated and influenced successful delivery of high impact training after initial resistance.• Created a two-day induction, which reflects all areas within in the group, supported by all key Directors and CEO who attend and present. • Designed and successfully launched a Leadership Academy, which supports the ongoing development of our managers by way of a six-month modular programme.• Developed and launched enhanced customer service training to drive customer satisfaction scores.• Creative approach to training, launched bite size learning, eLearning and blended learning.• Recruiting of key personnel to create a new Learning team/function. • Mentoring and coaching of new managers within the Central Services functions.• Ownership of Train the Trainer programme for the whole group.• Responsible for the Apprenticeship programme across the group and managing relationships with third party apprenticeship providers.• Qualified Mental health first aider. This allows me to support the ongoing mental health and wellbeing of our employees in a confidential manner.
