About Chris West
As an accomplished leader, visionary, and trusted advisor, I\'ve been an integral part of DWC CPAs and Advisors since 1996. Rising through the ranks, I became a principal in 2009 and spent nearly a decade at the helm of the Grand Junction tax office, overseeing leadership, fiscal management, and operations. In 2019, I took the reins as CEO, where I continue to lead with passion and purpose.I’m a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist, and Series 65 investment advisor representative, holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado Mesa University (CMU). As CEO, I’m dedicated to driving strategic growth, cultivating talent, and delivering exceptional service to clients. I foster a high-performance, people-first culture that nurtures success for clients, employees, and the community.Outside of my professional life, I am a passionate and accomplished saxophone player as well as an avid adventurer, having climbed all of Colorado\'s fourteeners (alongside my amazing climbing partner - my wife Alisa). At home, I am supported by my wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters, who are the heart of my life and inspiration.I am actively serving as a board member and vice-chairman of the Grand Junction Regional Airport Authority, a board member of the Colorado Mesa University Foundation, and member of the Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club.
