As Regional Housing Manager at Wales & West Housing, one of the largest Housing Associations in Wales, I lead a team of 13 staff responsible for the management of 2,500 properties in Cardiff and Caerphilly. I have extensive experience in the housing sector, both operational and strategic, and I am a professionally qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).My specialties include housing management, board membership and systems thinking. I have successfully applied the systems thinking approach to the design and management of work, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our services and processes. I also have a strong track record of performance management and communication, ensuring that we deliver high-quality outcomes for our contract holders, stakeholders and partners. In addition, I have also served as a Board Member and Company Secretary for Abbeyfield Wales Society (AWS) charity that provided housing and care for older people, where I contributed to the governance and strategy of the organization. AWS eventually merged with Linc-Cymru HA, who then merged with Pobl, and as part of the AWS Board I helped and supported the merger process.
