ABOUT CHRIS VENTER
Seasoned technology resource with experience in many areas including People, Project and Technology Management. There are no problems that cannot be solved! Having grown up in Waterloo Region, Chris attended the University of Waterloo in their Mathematics Teaching Option. After engaging on a successful teaching career at a tier 1 private boarding school TCS, an explosion in the use of Information Technology led to a shift in career to assist the school in their IT transformation including adoption of the internet and wiring of the campus. This led to Chris moving into a Director of IT role at Canada\'s largest lawn care consumer packaging firm Nu-Gro where he pivotal in leveraging IT to support their continued growth. Seeking new challenges, Chris went on join an ERP software firm IFS in their Consulting Organization where he both managed the Canadian group plus shepherded multi-billion dollar companies such as the Linamar, TTC and Seaspan Marine in their roll out of their ERP software. Chris was also involved in complex interface designs with ArcGIS and DocuSign which have been adopted and sold as products. Chris participated in a complete digitalization transformation of IFS and was asked to join their senior management team as Vice President of Global Business Applications.After IFS IT applications were successfully running, Chris is now working directly with IFS customers again assisting them with solutions to their problems and getting the most out of their ERP investment.
