About Chris Timmons

With two decades of experience in clean energy manufacturing, I drive new innovations for the development and commercial implementation of manufacturing processes at Group14 Technologies, a battery materials company that has developed silicon-carbon composite materials to meet the increasing demand in global lithium-ion markets. Prior to Group14, I worked at EnerG2, a Seattle-based carbon materials company, and was instrumental in the company\'s success that led to its acquisition by German chemical company BASF. I began my career in the clean energy sector as a research scientist at hydrogen fuel cell startup Asemblon, Inc. My experience covers the spectrum from safe and cost-effective manufacturing to continuous improvement and ISO-level quality management, and I am dedicated to pushing for environmentally friendly practices across manufacturing processes. I hold a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound in Washington state.
