About Chris Sullivan
A penchant for math and science led me to engineering school and then an MBA complemented my technical skill set with the fundamentals of business, finance, and accounting. Seeking a corporate culture that promoted a high-character, high-integrity team led me to Citigroup Investment Banking’s Global Industrials team. That same team brought me to Henry Crown to help build out the principal investing group, and I’ve spent close to a decade originating and executing acquisitions and direct investments. I oversee multiple portfolio companies and as a board member I am central to setting the strategic direction of our operating companies. A strategic thinker, I focus on the drivers of growth, understanding the value proposition, identifying future business trends, and formulating the investment thesis. I have a track record of successful investments, and growing business through organic growth and acquisitions. Recent executive leadership responsibilities has me managing two leadership teams, increasing revenue with enhanced products and service offerings, determining growth cape projects, and communicating among constituent stakeholders.My leadership is based on effective communication, the ability to successfully articulate high-level concepts and nuances of complex topics and initiatives, creating a team-focused environment that retains top talent, collaborative decision-making, and shared values and goals.On the personal side, I enjoy coaching my three sons in their sports, being active on local Chicago-area philanthropic boards, and I am also a lifelong Chicago Bears fan.
