Responsible for identifying Utility Agent/ Owner’s (UAO’s) and facilities within clients’ project limits through Florida’s Sunshine One Call system, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Maint./ Ops. permits and as-build information. Coordinates all UAO activities within client project limits to include statutory contacts, project plan mark-ups, Utility Work Schedules (UWS’s) processing, creation of all FDOT agreements, Conflict resolution, and permit reviews from Notice to Proceed (NTP) to project construction completion. Review project plans for potential utility conflicts, creates conflict matrixes, coordinate subsurface utility engineering (SUE) requirements, analyzes SUE data for conflict determination/ resolution and ensures conflicts are resolved prior to FDOT Utility Certification. Assist UAO’s in the creation of or review completed all legal documents associated with UAO’s and FDOT projects Review utility excavation permits to ensure all documents comply with FDOT statues and guidelines. Organize, lead, and participate with design consultants, public and private utility owners, FDOT Const./ Ops, FDOT District Utility representatives required during all project phase meetings, field reviews, and all necessary meetings for the successful project completion from Project Develop and Environmental (PD & E) studies to project construction competition. Prepare request for fund allocation for utility activities through FDOT Work Program office for all necessary phases, and ensure all funds are deposited to the State of Florida. Built credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. Industry reputation for coordinating utilities on the most difficult projects both conventional design-bid-build and design build projects. FDOT requested this expertise to fill a Sr. UC position on premises in support of the District Utilities staff in multiple Districts.
