About Chris Smith
NextStep Kansas City is an affordable, state-of-the-art, community-based paralysis recovery and fitness center. By offering standardized activity-based therapy programs and interventions, based on research; our center provides the best chance for recovery, independence, and health. As an Affiliate of the NeuroRecovery Network, NextStep Kansas City is able to offer special interventions that have been proven to be effective based on current research. The aggressive programs that are offered at NextStep Kansas City use a combination of standard gym equipment and specialized therapy equipment that is not widely available. As a community-based program, accessibility and affordability is a high priority. NextStep Kansas City is a registered 501(c)3 corporation which allows us to raise money to help lessen the financial burden that exists as a result of insurance not covering our program. We have worked diligently to make the program as affordable as possible while maintaining high standards of care and ingenuity.
