ABOUT CHRIS SMITH

Experienced housing professional with qualifications and over 20 year’s management experience. I have an excellent technical background and I am confident, proficient, qualified and able to balance the needs of individuals against the needs of the business, all whilst acting as a mentor and a leader to the people within my team. I Identify and implement service and operational improvements to deliver improved customer and employee satisfaction whilst maintaining compliance.Engaging with people at all levels and communicating one to one and in group situation.I am currently responsible for the 1,5 & 30 year investment planning and delivery of £60m a year of Investment works to ensure Together Housing achieve our ambitious carbon reduction strategy and maintain decent homes standard and compliance through the Building Safety upgrades. This entails the undertaking of full component replacements, Air-source/Ground-source Heat Pumps with a fabric first approach, Insulation upgrades, Sprinkler Systems installation, Fire Alarm upgrades, Lift replacements, and various other improvement works to a range of domestic, residential, high rise, commercial and retail situations for both internal and external customers. I ensure policies and programmes are planned and delivered within budget, to all required health and safety regulations across a geographical area covering both Yorkshire and Lancashire. My role is much more to me than a job it is an important part of my life.Having completed my Level 6 in Senior Construction Management, NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate and IFE Passive Fire Protection Certification,IOSH for Executives and Directors, SMSTS, I am now working towards Membership of the CIOB.
