ABOUT CHRIS SATTLER

After a fulfilling career in Finance and Consulting, which allowed me to work in most of the financial centres in the world, with extended periods in Tokyo and London, my focus over the past eight years has been directed to re-introducing the romance of seaplane operations to the Auckland Harbour. Thanks to some great individuals and companies that helped us along the way, Auckland Seaplanes commenced operations in 2013 and is managing the re-established Auckland Harbour Aerodrome. 2017 we acquired Waiheke Airport and started operating wheeled aircraft from there to destinations around the North Island under the Waiheke Wings brand https://waihekewings.co.nz/Auckland Seaplanes is the first carbon zero airline in Australasia and we have measured and offset all our emissions since 2016 and have been carbon positive since 2020. We hold environmental approvals to visit the pristine and protected islands and coast and are privileged to showcase the beauty of New Zealand, for which we have won the New Zealand Tourism Award in the past.I am very privileged and thrilled to be able to share my life-long passion of aviation and tourism with an outstanding team and our guests, while at the same time utilizing my previous management and operational experience.
