ABOUT CHRIS SANDERS

I stepped into the world of graphic design as a naive 19 year old loading printers and lifting boxes before gravitating towards a junior role. Since then I have held almost all roles available including senior, freelancer and founder but none of them ignited the passion I had for positive change.It was during my time as a mid–weight that I decided to work towards creating alternative projects that put people first. Motivated by cultural movements and a passion for better I launched a lifestyle magazine focused on independent creators but soon realised that this market was controlled by fame hungry crowd pleasers.I then stepped into the world of community building whilst holding a full–time senior role. The opportunity to unite people, challenge tradition and elevate voices was the catalyst I craved. During the following five years I opened, closed and re–opened countless operations and freelanced myself out to balance the books. It was during the Covid pandemic that everything changed. During this period I reflected on my two decade career in design and what I saw was not pretty. I had a collection of impressive brands in my catalogue but a portfolio of below par work that would ultimately define my career so I decided to burn the past and dive foot first in to creating a legacy.I decided to return to my passion for community and combine it with a mission to make design equal and accessible to all – irrelevant of age, ability and background. The result was a platform that focused on real world learning that was designed to empower the creators of tomorrow by breaking down the barriers people face. I now lead a business that does just that.
