ABOUT CHRISTOPHER BYBEE

I am a dedicated leader with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Management. I am completing my Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt certifications, which are projected to be completed in August 2025. With over a decade of progressive leadership experience, I specialize in environmental compliance, policy implementation, resource management, and staff supervision, with a strong foundation in wildlife conservation and operational safety.During my 20-year U.S. Coast Guard career, I led complex maintenance and logistics operations, supervised teams of over 120 personnel, and collaborated with major environmental agencies such as NOAA and various state Departments of Fish and Wildlife. My background includes hands-on work with fisheries enforcement, wetland restoration, and habitat protection, supported by specialized training at regional fisheries training centers.Safety and accountability are core to my leadership style. I’ve conducted quarterly inspections, emergency drills, and technical training programs that led to sustained operational excellence. These efforts contributed to multiple Meritorious Team Commendations, and my leadership was recognized with a Coast Guard Commendation Medal and as a runner-up for the Douglas Munro Inspirational Leadership Award.My professional career has been defined by successfully executing high-impact initiatives, including managing substantial operational budgets, developing and implementing organizational safety policies, and enforcing environmental and workplace compliance standards. As I transition my focus toward Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), I am eager to apply my field-tested leadership, regulatory knowledge, and in-progress certifications to promote safe, sustainable operations and support science-driven environmental policy and compliance efforts.I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, managerial experience, and a deep personal commitment to preserving our natural resources and protecting the teams that protect them.
