ABOUT CHRIS RONSON

I love to connect people with technology solutions that better their lives and the planet. We all have the same number of hours each day, and I strive to find solutions that enable others to make better use of their 24. Growing up, I loved trying new things. I manufactured novelty \"mosquito houses\" and sold them at the lake as the church let out on Sunday. I imported pumpkins (from my grandpa\'s farm) and undercut the big grocery stores at Halloween by selling local, enormous jack-o-lantern-ready canvases to the neighborhood. When Pokemon was first taking off, I organized a tournament in my basement, plastered posters all over school, and charged an entrance fee to fund the grand prize (and pay my parents back for all the popcorn consumed by my classmates). My love for experimenting ramped up when technology entered the conversation. I directed an award-winning promotional video for my high school\'s robotics team and built my first video game through after-school programming classes. When I had to decide between computer engineering or commerce, I chose to pursue a management degree at the Asper School of Business. Alongside my colleague Kevin, we co-chaired the University of Manitoba Entrepreneurs\' club, organizing annual events to bring prominent CEOs and marketing professionals to full-day events to inspire the next generation of business leaders. During university, I joined Clearline Technologies, the manufacturer of the world\'s first recycled rubber pipe support system. Sustainability has been a core part of my life story since, and I had the pleasure of serving the waste and recycling industry for over a decade, selling the industry-leading reporting SaaS, Re-TRAC Connect, at Emerge Knowledge Design. I currently serve as the CEO for MicroAge Manitoba.
