Oversee a lobbying team, as well as contract lobbyists in the development and implementation of policy and political advocacy strategies to achieve CSBA’s state and federal legislative and budgetary advocacy goals.• Work closely with local school board members, CSBA leadership and staff, including its Public Affairs and Community Engagement Representatives (PACERs), and a wide array of educational associations, organizations, and advocacy groups to coordinate advocacy on critical education issues and matters impacting state and local educational agencies. • Regularly work with the Governor’s office, members of the legislature, including legislative leadership and their staff, the CA Department of Education, the State Board of Education, and other state and local agencies to continually develop and maintain CSBA’s influence on various policy and political matters. • Staff and work with various committees that guide and contribute to the operation of CSBA, including its Board of Directors, Delegate Assembly, Legislative Committee, and various work-groups established to address pressing and time-sensitive issues.
