ABOUT CHRIS PRIEST

After graduating law school, I completed a clerkship with the 8th Judicial Circuit for the State of Alabama with the Honorable Glenn Thompson. Upon completion, I began working as an associate with the boutique law firm of Blackburn, Maloney & Schuppert, LLC. In 2004, I was made a Junior Partner and in 2008 became a full Partner. My law practice revolved around administrative law, specifically elder law. From 2007 until elected Circuit Clerk, my practice worked with conservatorship law and managing estates of incapacitated adults. This included managing real property, bank accounts, accountings and similarly related areas. In 2012, I was elected Morgan County Circuit Clerk. I was re-elected in this position in 2018. As Circuit Clerk, I am responsible for all case management, finances and court administration for the 8th Judicial Circuit and Morgan County District Courts. On an annual basis, this administration is on approximately to new cases each year and to collected and distributed to Public and Private entities.
