About Chris Policano
Chris Policano re-joined Rubenstein in June of 2022, after serving as Chief Public Information Officer for Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz since July 2020. Prior to joining the Queens DA\'s Office, he served more than 12 years with the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME)- the last five for one of its largest local unions (District Council 37 in New York City) and, during the first six years of the Obama administration, as Director of Communications for the national union in Washington, DC. He has more than 25 years experience in journalism and public relations. He has held top in-house communications posts at the New York City Council, the United Federation of Teachers, and Phoenix House Foundation. As a reporter, he covered general assignment for the New York Daily News and City Hall for the New York Post. He has also written for The Nation, New York magazine and the New York Amsterdam News.
