I am a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of senior management experience in large, complex organisations. I have a strong track record of managing change and transformation, staff management and development at all levels. Excellent communicator with credibility when presenting at Board level and providing leadership and direction to local finance teams. Significant international exposure, in particular North America (including two year secondment to US) and Europe. Strong technical capabilities in the full range of financial disciplines having been responsible for every aspect of the role.Career highlights:City & Guilds: in over ten years in senior finance roles I have acquired a deep knowledge of the vocational education sector from both awarding body (exam board) perspective as well as the running of training delivery businesses. Highlights include being finance lead on several winning bids for large government funded contracts valued at over £40m.Five years in the utility sector initially preparing a privately owned company for a listing on the New York Stock Exchange and thereafter responsible for quarterly SEC reporting.Over 15 years at BPB plc, a global manufacturing business with FTSE 100 listing, ultimately acquired by Saint-Gobain, several senior roles including responsibility for all external reporting, audit and consolidation as well as divisional FD for special plasters division and finance integration of major US acquisition.
