About Chris Old
Experienced law enforcement commander with a demonstrated history of working in the law enforcement industry. Skilled in Government, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Patrol, and Training Delivery. Throughout my 27 years of committed service with the Washington State Patrol (WSP), I have had the opportunity to lead team members in a variety of supervisory, managerial, and executive roles while understanding the wide range of public safety and criminal justice responsibilities. In my current position, I lead the 88 staff members assigned to patrol operations in seven Western Washington Counties. This includes managing a $4.4 million biennial budget, developing and maintaining and internal and external partnerships, and creating policies and procedures that support the mission of the Washington State Patrol. I frequently represent the WSP in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with all of our stakeholders, as well as engaging in public outreach and speaking. I believe me 27 years of service to the WSP speaks for itself in my commitment to public service. As a leader I stand for humility, accountability, and commitment.
