ABOUT CHRIS NORKUN
As the founding principal of a public school STEAM Academy, I have had the unique privilege of building a learning community from the ground up—shaping not only academic outcomes, but also the culture, vision, and spirit of the school. With a deep commitment to equity, student voice, and high-quality instruction, I lead with purpose and heart, ensuring every child has access to the opportunities they deserve.My work spans instructional leadership, staff development, family engagement, and operational planning. I’ve recruited and supported dynamic educators, designed innovative systems to meet diverse learner needs, and cultivated a culture of excellence, joy, and inclusivity.I believe schools should be places where all students are seen, challenged, and celebrated—and where educators grow alongside their students.
