Roles and responsibilities- Deputising as Sleep Lab manager- Day-to-day management of the Sleep Service and delegation of duties to staff- Rota management- Staff appraisals- Managing staff absences- Assist in investigations into patient complaints- Development of training and education resources- Facilitating educational placements for AHP cadets, PTP, STP, PGCert Sleep Medicine students- Liaising with manufacturers and software providers to aid service improvements- Leading on quality and standards in the department by reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and leading clinical audits and service evaluations- Chairing Sleep Lab Governance Meetings and Sleep Multidisciplinary Team meetings- Reporting of respiratory polygraphy, WatchPAT and actigraphy sleep studies- Interpreting Sleep Bloods Screening results- Actigraphy setup clinics- CPAP setup clinics (group and 1-to-1)- CPAP compliance clinics, including High Risk Clinics for vigilant critical occupations and obesity hypoventilation syndrome patients- CPAP mask fitting.
