About Chris Molina

Chris Molina is a film programmer, filmmaker, and cultural strategist with over a decade of experience working across film curation, audience development, and nonprofit arts organizations. He currently serves as a Short Film Programmer for the Miami Film Festival, where he reviews more than 600 submissions annually and curates short film programs for regional, national, and international audiences. He has also contributed to programming efforts with the New York Latino Film Festival and Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Film Festival. In addition to his curatorial work, Molina has led audience growth and partnership initiatives, helping secure nearly 100 community partnerships that expanded institutional reach and visibility. As a filmmaker, he wrote and directed the independent feature Fallen Fruit, which screened at festivals across the United States and won the Audience Award at the Outshine Film Festival, while his short films have screened at festivals including DOC NYC and the New Orleans Film Festival. His work across both programming and filmmaking reflects a commitment to championing emerging voices and building film experiences that meaningfully connect artists, audiences, and communities.
