Chris McRickard serves as a Senior Advisor within Baker Hughes’ Corporate Sustainability organization, leading governance‑related reporting and contributing to the company’s broader sustainability strategy. His work includes overseeing non‑financial disclosures and analytics, engaging with investors on sustainability topics, and collaborating across the enterprise on the annual Corporate Sustainability Report. He further supports industry advancement through committee work with the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the Keystone Policy Center, while also managing key collegiate partnerships and business development initiatives.Prior to his current position, Chris served as Commercial Sales Manager for the Western United States at Avitas, a Baker Hughes venture specializing in advanced emissions management technologies. In this role, he partnered with customers across the oil and gas, agriculture, and waste management sectors to introduce integrated monitoring solutions—including continuous emissions sensing and drone‑based inspections—to improve detection and mitigation of fugitive emissions.Before joining Baker Hughes, Chris spent a decade in Colorado’s upstream oil and gas sector in regulatory and operational leadership roles. As Regulatory Manager for Ursa Operating Company LLC, he oversaw permitting, regulatory compliance, project management, and GIS analysis. Earlier, he worked as a Regulatory Analyst for Crestone Peak Resources and Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc, supporting development activities in the DJ and Piceance Basins. He began his industry career in 2011 as a consultant to exploration and production companies operating on federal and state lands. His broader professional background includes experience in private business, the golf industry, and work as a FINRA Registered Representative.Chris holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an MBA from Regis University. He has also completed certificate programs in Petroleum Land Management (University of Denver) and Life Cycle of Oil and Natural Gas (University of Colorado Denver). An active member of the Denver energy community, he served on the Board of Directors of the Denver Petroleum Club from 2012 to 2017.Outside of work, Chris enjoys golfing, tennis, mountain biking, fly fishing, skiing, and snowboarding.
