Embers Protection Services (EPS) is dedicated to helping homeowners defend their property and protect their assets from wildfires focusing on long-term solutions including home hardening, creating defensible space, and installing an effective automated exterior fire protection system. Our approach with each property is to layer the protection to significantly increase the chances of the structure surviving a wildfire or airborne embers. After mitigating the fuel around the property and hardening the structure, there is an effective third component in defending a home and making it ember resistant. The EPS proprietary software creates a wildfire defense system that is completely autonomous and requires no user interface or human action to activate. Automated activation occurs when a wildfire encroaches within a set distance of the property to ensure protection from airborne embers that can travel miles from the fire front. The EPS wildfire defense system progresses through danger levels low to extreme, increasing the amount of water deployed to the structure. The EPS system also has a backup to the satellite wildfire mapping technology utilizing heat sensors located on the property to trigger an emergency sequence of operation. Automated alerts are sent to the homeowner and their family by text and email to keep everyone updated in real-time when a significant event occurs. EPS is a dual defense system that first deploys a long-term fire retardant to the perimeter vegetation creating up to a 100’ wide firebreak protecting the structure from encroaching fire and radiant heat. Then high-pressure water is deployed to the roof and eaves of the structure to defend against airborne embers. The eave or soffit nozzles also provide heat protection for windows. The EPS system maintains constant water pressure even when the demand for water changes and includes reliable backup power for protection during power outages.
