About Chris McCoy
In Mental Health one must be willing to learn as much as teach! Working with at-risk youth takes a special person and I have the gift of understanding and reaching a common ground with this type of kid! Some to come, Masters in Social Work and then licensure to run my own Counseling Firm! When working with High School Students in Sports, one must be able to act as more than a Coach. One must be flexible to be there as a Father figure, Therapist and a Friend. Given the rules of the local School System, a Coach must be able to keep a personal, but yet professional relationship with the Student Athlete while trying to teach them about adversity and overcoming situations in their lives that are tough. My goal as a Coach is to Teach One and Reach One while giving them the tools to be a contributor in our Society rather he enters College or enters the Workforce.
