As VP for Red Hat’s Global Enterprise organisation Chris has world wide responsibility for the performance, sales strategy and execution of the Enterprise segment - Red Hat’s largest customers. Chris also owns the global sales functions that support all sales including the Business Value, Deal making, Renewals and Audit teams. The Global verticals of Telco, FSI, Edge and the IBM relationship also roll up into Chris. Prior to joining Red Hat, Chris was Technology Vice President at IBM UK. This role saw Chris accountable for the end-to-end technology business at IBM’s top tier clients, the UK’s $1.5Bn+ software position and as the UK executive sales leader for all software sales transactions in excess of $1m. With over 27 years in the industry, Chris has worked across all facets of IT having performed technical, delivery and consulting roles as well as those in operations and sales giving him an end-to-end perspective of the entire business, understanding how to sell, solution, deliver and run. Chris’ work initially centred on infrastructure transformation moving to Cloud in the early 2010’s building the IBM Cloud business in the UK then expanding his remit to lead the UK software and technology business.Chris served as an external Board Director for a Pensions Trust and was also a member of the CBI Tech Council; an industry board with executive peers from the Tech sector responding and inputting to UK Government policy for the industry.
