ABOUT CHRIS MARLOW

I am an experienced and highly motivated senior construction coordinator (piping/structural/mechanical) with over 20 years’ experience in oil and gas. Comfortable with topsides and platform drilling facilities, including rig-reactivation, FPSO’s, decommissioning projects and TAR’s, I can take on multiple priorities ensuring strict deadlines and KPI dates are met. Included within my role is the organisation, planning and execution of the construction scope ensuring the final delivery date is achieved. I also provide construction input into CTR’s (cost/time/resource), mobilise all trades personnel including specialist vendors, manage all plant/equipment associated with scope of work and interface with engineering disciplines, project engineers, supply chain personnel and the client.I am experienced in the installation and testing of all systems, valves, pipe support’s, structural/electrical assemblies, flange management and final sign off and can prepare presentations, method statements, jobcards, material input/specialist tooling requirements, risk assessments, COSHH, HSE input and certification (ITR’s).I’m a team player who maintains good leadership skills throughout a project to deliver a high-quality end product. Communication is important within my role to verify each stage of the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and to maintain good working relationships with both the client and sub-contractors.As a result of my experience in this industry to date, I have developed a strong desire to continue my personal development and recently achieved my APM Project Management Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ), IOSH Managing Safely and HNC in Mechanical Engineering which has now inspired me to progress with the HND in Mechanical Engineering.
