ABOUT CHRIS MALONEY
As Internal Comms Manager for Rolls-Royce plc, I\'m keen to find out how best to get messages to people in the most effective way, through solid, robust channels using interesting, compelling and impactful content. I love working with motivated people and working out how best to engage colleagues in what is going on in a company. I\'ve enjoyed the more \'novel\' communications in the past, but also see the importance of regular, trusted information sources. I love the constant evolution of communications and have embraced the digital transformation of the discipline over the years.I\'m in a role that seeks to achieve a good balance of these comms - and aim get better every day at delivering that for my clients or colleagues.I\'ve worked on materials for a range of leading companies including Rolls-Royce, GlaxoSmithKline, BAE Systems, Virgin Media, Microsoft, PWC and the BBC.Increasingly too, my work is taking me into the world of statistics - monitoring stakeholder groups, understanding trends and working out how to move groups from one point to another using various change models, tools and techniques. It\'s come to something when I get as much satisfaction from a well prepared excel spreadsheet as I do a well prepared video shoot! Developing \'the magic formula\' to show the value of communications effort on the bottom line is a key driver for me.Specialties: Internal communications strategy, planning and delivery, leadership communications coaching, communications development of teams, audio and audio visual editing, client interaction, voiceovers, interviewing, logistical organisation. In addition, I\'m also heavily involved in mountain biking advocacy. As the owner of the Keeper of the Peak Twitter feed and website and as a committee member of Peak District MTB, I have extensive experience of working with stakeholder groups to enhance and grow mountain bike access and participation - skills which have proven time and again to be useful in my professional life.No cold contacts please.
