ABOUT CHRIS LORANGER

I am currently working as a Policy Advisor for the Congressional Western Caucus, chaired by Rep. Celeste Maloy (R-UT-03). My issue portfolio includes energy, mining and critical minerals, renewables, research and development, permitting, and public lands (BLM). I am a graduate of The George Washington University, Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, having graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors History and Political Science.I previously worked as an Energy Fellow in the ClearPath Conservative Leadership Program in the Office of Congressman Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03). My role included managing the Congressman’s 8 energy-related caucuses, researching energy policy to support the Congressman\'s role as Chairman of Energy and Water Appropriations, and meeting with energy companies, trade associations, and government affairs groups to understand the challenges facing all levels of America\'s energy industry.I am most proud of my work for Rep. Chuck Fleischmann’s energy caucuses, most notably with the Advanced Nuclear Caucus and American Energy Dominance Caucus. Through chairing these caucuses, Rep. Fleischmann worked to foster lasting, bipartisan solutions to build out a robust “all-of-the-above” American energy industry. This experience exposed me to some of the biggest problems facing the American energy sector and taught me the importance of effective communication and bipartisan problem solving on Capitol Hill.
