Chris is a Software Engineer Staff at Lockheed Martin Space Systems. He currently is the Project Lead of the Orion VR project, a research and development team that is looking to combine dynamic simulations with a virtual reality front end experience. In 20••••21 he was the Technical Lead of the Modeling and Simulation team for Lockheed’s Ascent Element, part of Blue Origin led National Team’s Lunar Lander. Chris started working in the aerospace industry in July 2014. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2014 with a bachelors degree in computer science with a second major in physics. He joined Lockheed Martin in 2017 as a software engineer on the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle’s modeling and simulation team. He has worked on the Artemis-1, Artemis-2, and advanced concept Orion missions. He specialized in the Orion Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS), performing software systems engineering duties including requirements writing, code development, unit and integration testing, and test bed support for hardware validation. Currently, Chris works as the Technical Lead of the Human Landing System’s modeling and simulation team. Before he moved to Lockheed Martin in 2017, he worked as a software engineer for Boeing on several programs including Starliner (CST-100) displays, the International Space Station’s payload management systems, and the Ground-based Midcourse Defense system’s modeling and simulation team. Chris is an experienced software engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the aerospace computer software industry. He is skilled in C++, Python, real time and non-real time modeling & simulations, JIRA, and Visual Studio.
