About Chris L. Yow

Environmental leader passionate about implementing sustainable business practices and nature-based solutions (NBS) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and to protect our natural resources. I am not a newcomer to the sustainability industry, protecting and restoring the environment started with my education and is my professional life’s work. My education (undergraduate and masters) focused on water resources and the environment where I led a study at North Carolina State University on the efficiency of green roofs for stormwater management. I have continued environmental work as a consultant for over 22 years where I have focused on sustainable business practices, nature-based solutions and ecological restoration (river restoration). I am an experienced presenter, communicator, project manager and business developer. I also have technical expertise with stormwater management, hydrologic modeling, hydraulic modeling, cost estimating, and technical writing. I am very proficient at creating construction documents (drawings and specifications) for traditional design-bid and design-build projects.
