As the Director of Manufacturing, I play a pivotal role in the success of our organization by overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations, from production and quality control to team management and strategic decision-making.• Directly supervises all plant supervisors, and all production employees.• General responsibility for all plant operations.• Responsibility for scheduling and on time deliveries by coordinating activities of Production Control, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments as needed. • Works with Human Resources in setting policies, procedures and working conditions for production employees. Approval of new hires and overtime.• Establishes and maintains the department budget and oversees major expenditures.• Manages inventories at appropriate levels based on forecasts.• Establishes, maintains, and continues to improve quality standards and processes.• Makes recommendations to ownership for new equipment, additional space, or additional labor to streamline the production process or increase unit volume.• Has ultimate responsibility for the quality of products and providing a safe workplace.
