Undertake the role of “Maintainer Control Room Contact” on a shift bases as set out in the TSA Contract.• Responsible on a shift bases for the ongoing management of the Hitachi control room operations and support teams located in the operational control room.• Management of fleet planning and all operational interfaces at the Great Western Integrated Control Centre. Co-ordinating the deployment of technical riding inspectors and station based technicians.• Line management, supervision and support of the Maintenance Controllers and Technical Riding Inspectors.• Working closely with the associated maintenance depots - Production of the short and long term maintenance plan to ensure class 800 fleets are maintained, servicing and cleaned in line with contractual requirements to include-o Utilisation of Hitachi`s SAP Maintenance Management Systemso Planning all exams, servicing and cleaning requirements back to the appointed depoto Monitoring fleet status using remote diagnostic data and planning train to depot accordinglyo Planning fleet modification requirement back to depot to meet the required completion KPIs o Planning customer requirements such the operator\'s performance improvement plan and CCTV data extraction• Adherence and management of the train performance regime.• Availability of train fleet and utilisation of spare trains.• Capturing in service maintenance requirements and planning accordingly• Access and maintenance of records to include control room logs, maintenance management system and remote train diagnostics.• Develop professionally and support good working relationships with all stakeholders.• Personal development plans for all direct reports.• Undertake competency assessment in line with the customers and Hitachi’s requirements.• Deputise for the GWICC Control Room Manager or Maintenance Controller as required
