Act as section head of Service Management, leading multiple award-winning IT teams in the development, delivery, and support of innovative technical solutions that advance internal and external City and IT objectives in areas like licensing and permitting, construction project management, middleware and integrations, asset management, and IT/HR service management.Key accomplishments• Leading the development efforts around the ASK Raleigh project (ask.raleighnc.gov), an award-winning citizen portal (powered by ServiceNow PSDS with integrations to ArcGIS and CityWorks) for almost Raleigh residents to submit requests about City services, concerns over hazards or other problems, or to find out more information from the City.• Assisting in the Citywide implementation of Trimble Unity Construct (formerly e-Builder) as the standard for construction project management, which consolidated spending, training, and data gathering onto one platform that processes over $45M in transactions annually.• Implemented scrum methodology for development teams within the section, resulting in a much faster backlog resolution rate and customer satisfaction score as development stories could be more easily visualized for leadership and customer departments and broken down in larger projects more efficiently using Agile methods and practices.• Led the effort to enable Now Assist (ServiceNow’s AI component) to the City’s internal service portal, incident management, and virtual chatbot (RAL-E), not only becoming one of the first such initiatives in the municipality but saving the Customer Support Center over minutes of productivity time by minimizing incident review and resolution times and increasing self-help resolution.• Acting in various strategic roles including Team Lead for one of the City’s Strategic Plan initiatives around better online citizen services and experience, as well as membership on the City’s AI Task Force as a contributor and trainer.
