Homecare Homebase is the leading solution for clients operating in the highly regulated Homecare and Hospice healthcare industry. We develop our product using Microsoft and 3rd party technologies and then host it in Citrix as well as provide an Android-based application for the mobile workforce. As a lead member within the Technology organization I provide key contributions to enable the company to continue realizing incredible growth and success. I have served many roles at HCHB including overall responsibility for the hosted and corporate infrastructure architecture, engineering and operations. Key functions included budgeting and planning, vendor relations, product demonstrations, contract negotiations, and consistent support of the value-streams for Sales, Customer Services, Product and Software Development. HCHB has always had a focus on scalability, availability and security aligned primarily with HIPAA compliance, which has allowed me the opportunity to support several regulatory audit frameworks such as SSAE16 and SOX. My current focus is on building two new teams, Production Support and an Agile team to foster the DevOps mindset within the organization. We are introducing standardized operational practices based on the ITIL framework, including incident, problem and change management and improving our incident response time and service availability. The DevOps team was instrumental in helping the company complete its Agile transformation and continues to provide value through automation of the pipeline and working with other product teams to help them increase the quality and frequency of deployments. We are also increasing our use of cloud-based services from AWS and Azure to improve agility and reduce costs through integration and automation.
