I’m a senior software engineer with experience in a variety of roles. I’m an individual contributor backend engineer right now and I’ve led two different development teams and worked as an incident manager in recent years. Further back, I’ve also worked as a software engineer in test and as a customer support engineer. I believe that the combination of good technical and non-technical practices and principles is vital if an organisation is to consistently ship high quality software in a timely manner and sustainably deliver business value. I like psychologically safe teams, with a mix of skills and talents, that own the whole value stream and where everyone contributes. I’m a mentor to several engineers and I’m always looking to learn and to improve my own skills.
